D. Gray Hughes, President
Gray’s extensive tenure and progression within Thermal Insulation, starting as an estimator in 1989 and reaching the position of president in May 2007, highlight a dedicated and accomplished career within the company. His journey from various roles, such as project manager, general manager, vice president, and executive vice president, showcases a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the organization’s operations.
As the president, Gray bears overall responsibility for corporate direction, policies, and profitability. His primary emphasis on developing customer relationships, increasing sales, directing branch managers, and monitoring project execution aligns with key leadership responsibilities crucial to the success and growth of the company.
Gray’s educational background as a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in small business management and entrepreneurship further underscores his qualifications and preparation for leadership in the business realm.
Brent White, Vice President
Brent’s career trajectory at Thermal Insulation, starting as one of the first field insulators in 1989 and progressing through various roles, showcases a long-standing and diverse experience within the company. His advancement from mechanic to foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, senior project manager, and vice president of contracting indicates a comprehensive understanding of the ins and outs of the insulation industry.
Being named corporate vice president in 2001 and having responsibilities for project managers, vendor relationships, estimating, and cost controls positions Brent as a key leader within the organization. His role reflects a focus on crucial aspects of project management, cost management, and vendor relationships, all of which contribute to the success and efficiency of Thermal Insulation’s operations.
Brent’s academic background in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville aligns with his role in a technical field, further emphasizing his qualifications for leadership in this industry.
Greg Stephenson, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Greg’s tenure at Thermal Insulation started in 1999 after an 11-year career in public accounting. As the Chief Financial (CFO), Greg plays a crucial role in overseeing various financial and administrative aspects, utilizing his skills and knowledge in managing key areas for the company. These areas of responsibility encompass accounting, insurance & risk management, asset management, payroll, as well as accounts payable and receivables.
Greg earned his degree in accounting from Auburn University and maintains his Certified Public Accounting credentials with the State of Alabama.
